Prayer outline for The 23rd Psalm

(Praise this back to Him for 30 days straight and see what happens to you)

It could go something like this:

Vs. 1
Father I praise You because You are The ONLY True and Living God. There are none like You, there are none greater. You are Almighty God. THE God above all our silly gods, The King of kings, The Lord of lords, You are my Master and The Greatest Friend I have ever known. You are the Sovereign Creator, Sustainer, Ruler, and Judge of all creation. You are Almighty God! (The Lord). Thank You for tending to me no matter what (MY Shepherd).
Indeed, You are everything I need (I shall not want).

Vs. 2
Thank You for engineering the circumstances of my life to “make me” lie down in Your abundant Grace. I want to wallow in it like a well fed sheep (green pastures).
Thank You for giving me peace when I turn to You. Please help me turn to You more quickly than ever (still waters).

Vs. 3
Thank You for restoring me back to Yourself when I blow it (restores my soul).
Thank You for leading me in the right decisions of life, for giving me the wisdom I need to choose Your way rather than mine (paths of righteousness). I’m expecting more of Your favor as a result of taking your right paths.

Vs.4
Thank You for being with me when I encounter the valleys of life with all their shadows of death. I am grateful to You for walking through them with me, for overcoming any fear they may produce. Thank You for being My God of all comfort, for comforting me in any of life’s tribulations, that I might comfort others when they face tribulations in their lives (I will fear no evil).

Vs. 5
Thank You for setting the circumstances of my life in order so that I might enjoy the abundance You have in store for me (prepares a table before me). Give me that “In your face” attitude as I deal with Satan and his forces (in the presence of my enemies).
Thank You for paying such close attention to me and for continually touching the areas of my life that cause me irritation (anoint my head with oil).
Thank You for blessing me so abundantly (my cup runs over).

Vs. 6
Thank You for pursuing me in Your goodness and mercy every day of my life (surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life).
Thank You for allowing me to experience Your presence forever (I will dwell in His house)

(Interesting side note: The first three words of this Psalm are “The Lord is”, the last three are “the Lord forever”.  “The Lord is the Lord forever.”
Father I am grateful that You are the Lord forever, You have always been, You will always be. Your Word in it’s entirety is ALL ABOUT YOU but as I study this psalm and and the rest of Your Word for that matter I have discovered, and I am tremendously grateful that YOU ARE ALL ABOUT US.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You
