Father I am grateful that you want me to be strong in You, thank You for providing me the power to accomplish that. You are that power, thank You for coming to live in me. Please help to depend on Your power more and more as I face my enemies today.
vs.11-13
I am grateful to You for helping me realize what Satan is up to, he is lying in wait at every turn to try to trip me up, he wants to steal from me, he would kill me if you could, I know he wants to destroy me, but Father I am also grateful that You have provided everything I need to withstand anything he throws at me and at the end of the day he knows I will still be standing in the power of Your might.
Lord I’m grateful that You won the war when You hung on that tree, You defeated Satan forever, but I know he will never give up battling us as long as we are in this flesh. I’m grateful to you that I’m in the wrestling match now, I can remember a time that I didn’t wrestle, I just gave in to whatever he wanted me to do, but You changed all that when You came into my life and made me one of your little ones, and as one of Your little ones I come to You by faith and I’m asking You to help me fight these battles as they arise, please help me allow You to fight these battles for me.
vs.14
Father I intend to walk in Your truth. Help me be honest as I deal with others and as I share Your truth with them please help me do it in Your Spirit of love.
Dear God, thank You for making me the righteousness of God, for elevating me to the same position as Your precious Son. I still have a hard time getting my mind wrapped around that but I receive it from You just as I received Your Son as my Savior. Thank You for the peace of mind and heart that this brings me.
vs.15
Father, I so much want others to know this deep abiding peace You have given me, and as I walk out into this world today please help me not miss any opportunity to bear witness of Your grace in my life. I declare to You that I am prepared to give a reason to anyone that asks about the hope that lives in me.
vs.16
Lord Jesus, this all started when, by faith I received You as my Savior. You gave me the faith to believe what to the human mind is a fantastically unbelievable story, yet I believe it with every fiber of my being. Thank You for giving me faith to move any mountain that rises against me, to quench any fiery dart that Satan hurls at me. When he gets in my face, by my faith in You, I will be back in his with the indisputable authority that You have given me and with Your help I will defeat him.
vs.17a
Father, it’s hard to find words enough to praise You for Your salvation. You have perfected me forever. You have forgiven me of past, present, and future sins. You have done it all for me. You set me free from my past when You took the penalty of my sin, You came to live in me to give me power over present temptation and sin, and You took care of any future sin when You perfected me forever. I don’t know of any words that can sufficiently praise You other than “thank You, thank You, thank You.”
vs.17b
Dear God, I am grateful that I no longer have to cower in the face of the enemy of my soul. When Satan rears his ugly head I intend to use Your Word to cut him to ribbons. Thank You for the indisputable authority my Savior has given me to combat Him. Thank You for helping me discover that I have that authority through the study of Your word. I will combat his lies with the truth of Your word. I will encourage others do so today and every day.
