Obviously it is all about our faith in Him, so starting from that vantage point, when a mountain rises before (or against) us we should immediately call on Him to take care of it for us. “Believe” is mentioned one time in these verses, “say or said” on our part is mentioned three time.
#2
When we ask we must believe He hears us.
We don’t need to keep asking, He hears us the first time.
#3
What we do need to do is raise our voice against the mountain and remove it in the indisputable authority of Jesus Christ.
#4
Visualize the mountain gone with a void where it once stood and praise Him from that point on for the removal of the mountain, and keep praising Him until we see the manifestation of the mountain removed. It may happen immediately or it might take some time but praising Him along the way will remind us the mountain “is” removed. Praising Him will also strengthen our faith when our enemy comes against us with doubt.
#5
Speak a positive where the negative (mountain) once stood.
For example, a man I once knew was dying of cancer. His time was short and I didn’t know whether he knew Jesus. As I drove to work one morning the thoughts came to my mind to remove the mountain of darkness that permeated his mind. So, I spoke to that mountain, saying “mountain of darkness you are removed in the name of Jesus”. Then I asked God to fill the void where the mountain once stood with the light of His love, the light of His Word, and the light of His truth. From that point on I praised Him for filling that void with what I asked for. He didn’t live but a couple weeks after that but I am convinced that he saw clearly what he needed to do before he left here.
Listen, I don’t understand the dynamic of speaking to an inanimate object, anymore than I can understand how a virgin gets pregnant without having sex, or a man dies grave yard dead and then rises from the dead three days later. However, my lack of understanding is overridden by the faith He has given us. If He tells us to do it (speak) then by faith we should do it.
#6
Keep a record of mountains removed.
#7
Share mountains removed with brothers and sisters in Christ and don’t be ashamed to ask for their help when Satan attacks, as certainly he will. You might just need a reminder from a caring brother or sister that indeed you have removed the mountain.
